Legal Question in Business Law in Alabama

I started a employment staffing company. I contacted a local attorny for advice on outsourcing the human resource function and he personally introduced me to another payroll/staffing company, his client. Prior to our meeting, he provided a non disclosure agreement for the payroll company to sign for me. We never agreed to any services or signed any contract for services from that company. One of the sales employees/previous owners from that company came to work for my company and I was sued by that company for attempting to intentionally destroy their company, taking clients, etc. The attorney representing the sueing conapany is the attorny which introduced us. Does he have any liability or can he be sued? I know this is a touchy situation, but curious.

If you paid this attorney any money, he can not sue you because he has a conflict.
