dealer says im behind when im not

The dealer that i purchased my car from says i am $255.00 behind and I have receipts showing my payments for the last month. What can I do? In order to prevent this from happening is there some sort of legal system I can go through to ensure this doesnt happen again? He is not the type to reason either.

I assume that the dealer is financing the car himself? If you have accurate receipts showing that you are not behind in any way, and if he repos the car, you could have him arrested for theft and then sue him for conversion. Just make sure you are absolutely sure you aren't even one day late and have all your records to prove it. If you need further assistance, please contact my office.
