Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Alabama

A few days ago, I had the manager of a payday loan lender come to my home. When he came to my home, I had my door opened, and he eneted without my permission. While he was here, he told me that my payday loan was in default, and if I didn't give him a certain amount of money by a certain date, I would be prosecuted for writing a bad check. It was to my understanding that you can not be criminally prosecuted for defaulting on a payday loan. Do I have any legal rights with this matter?
