Wage Garnishment

I was recently laid off from my job, and while I was there I was having my wages garnished. I did not end up paying off all of the garnishment while I was there, so my question is what happens now. Can I pay off the rest of the garnishment or what other thing could happen?

Yes, you can go ahead and pay off the debt if you wish. You need to contact the place that is garnishing and tell them what you want to do. If you don't do this, they can start garnishing your wages at your new place of employment.
