Suicide attempt becomes attempted murder case

My husband of 20 years is bipolar and been under psychiatric care for years. He stayed with friend dying of brain cancer. He became really upset after friend died. He started drinking for first time in his life. 2 weeks later, he accidentally missed his bipolar meds for 3 days. He temporarily seemed to lose his mind. He put shotgun to his head to kill himself. I called 911. Police arrived. He didn't know police were there. Was switching safety on gun and shot through wall. Deputy hit by fluff. No one hurt. Sent to jail for attempted murder. No psychiatric help at all. Case in Grand Jury Process now. Public Defender seems incompetent. I feel like he is being ''railroaded'' because it involved police. Is in jail ran by the ones accusing him of crime. He's been in jail for almost 2 months. Can't get him transferred to another jail. DA's case is based on a bullhorn. But he couldn't hear it. I was in the house when they first arrived and I couldn't hear the bullhorn either. His meds are given incorrectly almost every day. Sometimes he gets other's meds in with his. Tried telling them. No one will listen. Need atty willing to work out pay. arrangements. One who will FIGHT for my husband.
