What do we need to do for my husband to adopt my son? We have not heard from his dad since Tyler was 7 he is now 15 the last place we had an address on him is Jacksonville Fla. Also how long does it take and about how much will it cost?

In your situation, the process involves taking steps in two separate court proceedings. You need to terminate the parental rights of the father through the juvenile court, and then your husband will adopt the child through probate court.
