Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

dating

Due to a backlog of cases on the docket, my divorce filing has been on the books in the state of Alabama since 4/06. Since we've been apart for over a year, is there anything that says either of us cannot date until after the divorce is final? Or that if we are dating, that the significant other can't be brought around the children?

Re: dating

You are still married, so "dating" is risky behavior that could be interpreted as evidence of adultery. I advise my clients to keep their pants on until after the judge signs off. If they can keep them on for an additional 42 days after that until the appeal time runs out, that's even better.
