Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Can my now, ex-husband un-adopt my daughter to avoid child support payments?

My ex-Husband is now trying to un-adopt my daughter in order to avoid paying child support or insurance for her. We were recently divorce about 2 months now. Please advise if I don't agree to this, can he proceed without me.

If the adoption was done properly and is a legal adoption, he cannot unadopt her. She could technically be adopted by someone else, if they consented. If you have more questions call me

No, he cannot "un-adopt" her. In the eyes of the law, the child is his and he is responsible for any court ordered support or insurance payments.

I hope this helps. If you have any further questions or would like to discuss this further, you can reach me at (334) 361-3535.
