Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

Leaving Alabama with a child during seperation

my daughter lives in Riverside Alabama and wants to leave her husband (who is not abusive) and come to Texas with her two children. One child is his and he says she can not take him out of town. They are not legally seperated. She has no means to live by herself there. She needs to be here where we can help

Re: Leaving Alabama with a child during seperation

You need a lawyer close to where you are and a lawyer in Alabama. Jurisdiction sounds like it is in Alabama, so the first place to file anything would be there, unless they have lived there less than 6 months (this is a general rule and subject to exceptions not discussed herein). An attorney near to you could advise you of the procedures and perhaps help you find an Alabama attorney. Good Luck.
