Legal Question in Family Law in Alabama

How to modify a child support court order once child turns 19?

I have 2 children, one of which will turn 19 at the end of this month. To modify this court order, would you suggest me hiring an attorney or is it at all possible for me to petition to modify my self. If I can do it my self, what are the steps I need to take and what do I need to take to court?

if you want to modify a divorce decree you must show a material change in circumstances, and when a child reaches majority such a change has occured. you can represent yourself, however, my advise is to get an attorney. it would be alot easier and should be done correctly. 205-879-9595
