Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Alabama

Financial obligations of a minor.

Am I obligated to pay, or be subject to, debts that I incurred as a minor from my legal parental guardian? I was 18 and my stepfather, having adopted me at 14, bought me an automobile. He now wants reimbursement due to negative relations. Regardless of my intent at the time, am I obligated in any way to pay him due to my age at the time, the fact that he was my legal guardian, even though I am now over 19? There were no documented papers or contracts. Not then and not since. Please help with this matter. Thank you.

No. Tell him to take a hike. He's just blowing smoke.
