Breaks amd meal at work

What is required buy a company as far as breaks and meals. I was told that the laws are different for gas station. Is this true? and could tou please tell me these laws.thank you.

Federal law(the Fair Labor Standards Act) does not require breaks or a meal period, either paid or unpaid. The Act does require that you be paid for all time worked. So, if you work through a break or a meal period, you must be paid for that time. Retail gas stations are not exempt from these requirements.
