Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

home accident

two men go over to work on a friend' house and one man accidentally cuts the others thumb with a powersaw. he has to have surgery and is out of work. The hurt man does not have medical insurance. the homeowner does have homeowners insurance. who's fault is it and who does the man look to for compensation?

This is a very serious accident and there could be serious liability on the part of the person who did the actual cutting off of the thumb. I don't think that you would have a lawsuit against the homeowner, but only against the individual who misused the saw. Does that person have homeowner's insurance?

If so, he may have general coverage under his policy.
