Legal Question in Personal Injury in Alabama

I left my car in the care of my aunt. Without my permission, she allowed her 18 year old grandson, who by the way, has been involved in three prior car accidents, use the car. You guessed it, he wrecked the car. Who is responsible for paying for repairs? My aunt for giving her grandson the keys, or her grandson for causing the actual damages?

As to the other driver, the grandson and you, as the owner of the car, are responsible. You may have a claim against your aunt, but that does not change the fact that the other involved driver will have a claim against both the driver and the owner of the car that caused the damages. My advice to you would be to turn this matter over to your auto carrier.
