Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Alabama

I have bedbug in my apartment and was told by the apartment manager that I have to pay $2,300. I let the apartment manager know that I do not have the money and no way of getting it. She call back and stated I can pay a extra $100 a month. I do not have this in my buget no matter how I juggle the numbers. Do I have to pay this?
