Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Alabama

I was engaged to a woman and it did not work out. We bought a house together and moved in together, etc. After the situation did not work out, I have since moved back into my old home and she will not allow me to get my personal belongings (washer/dryer, beds, etc) out of the house that we moved in together. Can she legally do this and if not what steps can I take to get my belongings back?

Questions: You say you bought a house together, how is the deed to the house drawn? Do you own it together? As Joint Tenants, or Tenants in Common? If you have no right to the house, you should sue her for wrongfully keeping your property from you. If you own an interest in the house, you need to see an attorney to help you understand just what your right to the property might be. Good luck
