Legal Question in Social Security Law in Alabama

SS Disability

I have just recently been turned down by the Social Security Admin office for disability. The reason given is that I am still working. My orhopedic physician has said I most definitely should qualify due to my continuing problems from an accident in 2001. Is there any way I can have my disability application processed, through an attorney, and still work while the process is ongoing? I have no one to support me and can't stay unemployed for a great length of time. What can I do?

Re: SS Disability

That is the Catch 22 of disability law. You probably do need to go through an attorney because now you need to appeal the rejection and you need additional support in that process. You may be working but it may not be quality work and it may be difficult for you to do the work.
