Legal Question in Telecomm Law in Alabama

Telephone Recording

I have recently been made aware from a family friend that my ex-wife has been recording my telephone calls. I want to know is that legal since I have never consented to the recording. I understand that Alabama is a one-way consent state in that regard put I live in Maryland(MD) and MD is a two-way consent. Is it legal for her to record our phone calls since the phone call includes two states? What possible steps can I take to ensure that the recording stops?

Thanks

Re: Telephone Recording

This can be a tricky choice of law issue. It will difficult to introduce any calls taped this way into MD as MD's law is very restrictive, including likely preclusion of evidence gathered in a manner even if legally gathered in the other state (AL). Stopping calls to your ex-wife on the phone is a simple way to stop it. You could also write her and her lawyer.
