Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Alabama

Does the executor of the will have the sole responsitility to set the price of realestate to be sold?

Can the executor refuse to set a price for realestate that an heir wishes to purchase?

All bills from the estate have been paid and there is a large amount of liquid assessets that have not been disbursed.

It depends upon the language of the will. My wills give the executor broad discretion as to how, when and at what price to sell R/E. It should be in the will and if it isn't, you are still in charge and can within reason price the R/E however you wish. I do not think you could sell it at a bargain price to one party over another however unless you want to buy yourself trouble.
