Is there such a legal thing called Lock-out or lock-down
My sister is executrix and lives out of state. My father's will states us as his only heirs to pay his debts and split whatever else he owned 50/50.
My sister has locked me out of my Dad's house saying that the attorney advised her to do a ''lock-down or lock-out'' to keep everyone (theres only me) out until a complete inventory can be made. My sister won't return for 2 months and I'm concerned about water damage (there are 2 confirmed water leaks) and security issues. I've even lived on his upper lot in my own mobile home in order to care for him and cut grass, etc. I want to go inside the house and out buildings to continue to care for my Dad's property as I've taken care of him and his property since 1989 and want to know:
Can she legally lock me out of my Dad's house and property?She says she'll return in 2 months and we'll look inside together then, but a lot of damage can happen in 2 months, why should I be kept out of the place I've protected for so long?

It sounds like she might be allowing "waste", which is basically destruction of the property, which is half yours. You need to hire an attorney to pursue and action to protect the property.
