Legal Question in Consumer Law in Alaska

auto sale

purchased auto ''as is'', however seller stated title was wrong on odometer reading and previous owner had signed statement with DMV regarding such. Seller also entered wrong odometer reading on back of title. I would not have purchased auto if truth had been told. Can I hold seller responsible for wrong information in advertising and sale? I did sign statement ''as is''. Thank you,

Re: auto sale

You, you can, if you sign a statement "as is", because "as is" would mean as stated and advertised; If you can prove that seller had entered wrong reading deliberately and he made you a false statement, you can surely take action against him.
