Legal Question in Family Law in Alaska

Im in the process of getting a divorce. I want full custody of my child but the state say the child need to have been in the state at least 6 months. I was in Alaska from November to March then came back the end of April till now. Does it have to be concurrent or total? We pretty much left to get more belongings. Thank you

The Uniform Child Custody and Jurisdiction Act provides that the "home state" of the child is the last state where the child has lived for at least six consecutive months. However it also says that a "period of temporary absence ...is part of the period." So leaving to get more belongings might be considered temporary absence.

What do you mean "the state say"? Do you mean the court?
