Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Alaska

I sold a car to a friend in Alaska before moving away to Washington State. I had essentially signed the title and given it to her. She called me today and informed me she had lost the title and needed it to transfer ownership and to renew her registration. I have determined that the easiest way to achieve all of this expediently would be to get a limited power of attorney (I trust her), specifying her power to be to sign for me / act on my behalf when in relation to the above mentioned vehicle, that way she can go to the Alaska DMV without me and do everything herself.

When I research the Power of Attorney form, it says to use the form in which the application of power will take place (Alaska), but then on those forms it also indicates that the principal's (mine) signature needs to be notarized IN Alaska. I'm confused.

Don't be confused. The form is just an example. It can be notarized in Washington.
