It is in your best interest not to tell the Judge anything about your case. You shouldnt make any statements about your case in Court. If you have an issue with the indictment or charges, communicate your concerns with your attorney and let your attorney work on the matter. If you make statements about your case to anybody (excluding your attorney) the statements can and will be used against you in trial. If there was an error in the charging document such as an incorrect date, tell your attorney and he/she could have it corrected if possible.
