Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

Does Arizona have ''independent consideration'' with NonCompetes?

I understand that ''independent consideration'' is when you are supposed to be given something (money, promotion, etc.) if you sign a non-compete agreement after you've started employment. If you've non recieved that ''independent consideration'', does that make the Non-Compete void in Arizona?

We get so many people on this site who want us to analyze their contract, and of course we cannot do so without a complete review of the contract in writing and a complete review of all the facts of the case.

This site is for simple questions on particular points of law. I would think that employment was consideration, but cannot say what your contract provides and what it doesn't.

Have your contract reviewed by an attorney who can know all the facts. Good luck.
