Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

Plaintiff's Attorney / Deception

We were served with a lawsuit from our business partners. It's a messy situation, too long to get into. The attorney requested documents, which we prepared and then telephoned them that they were ready to be picked up. They never came to get them (2 weeks) then filed a lawsuit stating we failed to allow inspection of records and are secreting information, fraud etc. I have a tape recording and phone records indicating that I did call them to pick up the paperwork. When I called them after 2 weeks I asked if they were going to pick them up and was told ''to the best of my knowledge, NO''. Do we have any recourse for this?
