Legal Question in Business Law in Arizona

I am a waitress. During training I was told I only needed to ask for ID when taking a credit card to pay for a bill that says see ID. I got a call from my employer saying someone is claiming a fraudulent charge on their account. It was my ticket, I remember the customers. It a $70 ticket and they are saying I have to pay it out of pocket. Is this legal? I would think its the restraunts responsibilty to cover the charge.

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. It most likely is the employer's responsibility. If they persist, contact your local Employment Development or Labor Department. They will investigate and take appropriate action. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
