Can I work for another Mortgage company?

I am currently employed at a mortgage brokerage. I want to change companies. I sighned a document that said I could not work in the same industry for one year after I leave my current employment. Can I still change to a different company oin the same industry? I have been told that Arizona is a right to work state and the document I sighned would be void, is this true?

Non-compete agreements are typically upheld in Arizona. I suggest that you contact us or another law firm to review the agreement you signed before making any moves that may or may not be in violation of the agreement.
