Legal Question in Consumer Law in Arizona

I live in Arizona. I purchased a TV last night from The Roomstore on clearance according to our sales person. I added the warranty her wrote it up I signed it and they charged my account and the money is pending. They told me they had to box it up and would do that at 10am today 6/11 and I could pick it up after that. Wehn I showed up they said in order for me to get the TV I had to purchase a room set or something of $1500 the manager said he'd go down to $1300 to give me my TV. I told them I wasn't purchasing anything else I wanted my TV they said no they'd give me my money back in 7 to 14 day. Is this legal or do they owe me my TV I paid for? Breach of contract on their part and I'm out $700.00

I would start by reading the contract you and the sales agent signed. Does it say anything about the price being contingent on purchasing additional merchandise or does it say the TV can be purchased alone? Also, look to see if there is any discussion about when the contract is completed. Is it complete upon purchase or complete upon delivery of the TV?

If the contract doesn't say you must purchase then you would be entitled to the TV without the additional requirements. Also, if the contract says the sale closes upon payment, then you are entitled to TV at the time you paid for it. Use the contract you signed to determine whether the Roomstore has to live up to their agreement. Hope this information helps.
