File an answer to the suit or you will lose by default. You probably have valid defenses. Hire an attorney to help you.

Re: collections

As I often explain to our clients, you effectively have three options, you can do nothing and default, but as a result the collection company will end up with a judgment that will likely result in a wage garnishment or bank levy. Second, you can defend the case yourself. While this option is less expensive, there are specific ways to defend these types of cases. Lastly, you can consult a firm with experience defending these cases. In my experience, these cases are defensible, even if an account existed. If you would like our firm to conduct a free analysis, please feel free to contact me.
