Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

I was caught at the Tucson airport w/ a small marijuana pipe and was cited for it. No possession of anything. The officers let me get on my flight back to Colorado. What am I faced with now, and how can I plea a deal for this stupid mistake. How serious are these charges? I left the pipe in my luggage and forgot about it. I cheked that bag in and the TSA staff found the pipe and turned over to authorities. Officers contacted me while I was ready to board my flight. They read me my rights, I did not say much other than the checked bag was mine, they wrote me the citation, and let me board my flight.

If you were given a citation (and a summons to appear in Court), there is no conviction yet. The charge will either be under federal law (since federal agents seized item in interstate transit) or AZ law. Read the citation carefully. You might need AZ counsel.
