Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Warrant for arrest - and Now?

Some time ago i was arrested and brought in front of the arizona supreme court. I had commited a felony. I was summoned to re-appear in a few days and released by a pretrail officer. I have left the country and did not return to court. Obviously there's a warrant out for my arrest and I dont quite know where we stand at this time. My companion which was arrested as well has gotten probation. This happened about one and a half years ago. I remain outside of the country. I want to resolve this whole situation. Mainly, because of my wife. I miss her alot. I feel my life alone with her is not worth living. Is it smart to return or should I stay away? Sometimes I feel I should just take a plane to AZ and deal with it. However, my question is the following: can anyone advise me of my options? I have sleepless nights. I dont want to reflect on my life when im 70 knowing I could have set everything straight and continued my beautiful life with my wife even if it takes a year or two in jail. You know what I mean? Please help with some good advise. All in a nutshell:..... traffiking illegal aliens from tucson to phoenix. Escaped before court. Help?

Re: Warrant for arrest - and Now?

(1) Move to quash warrant. (2) If serious offense negotiate bail before surrender (3) If simple possession offense and eligible for A.R.S. 13-901.01 see if can take out of state deferment class. (4) If financial offense see if can pay restitution for agreement to quash warrant and dismiss.

Re: Warrant for arrest - and Now?

Your situation is very familiar to me. I have substantial experience in dealing with 'self surrenders' and federal matters in Tucson. Often times, your voluntary surrender can resulted in negotiated release conditions once you turn yourself in. There is much more that I would need to know, though. If you are seeking representation, please contact me.
