Legal Question in Criminal Law in Arizona

Is this worth a consultation? (Mesa AZ) Briefly: My husband went to court about my son's truancy. Court wanted son's grades, school info. Husband provided what school offered by the deadline. Was not acceptable to Court. So they fined him. We couldn't afford to pay. Amount owed court rose. They began sending husband letters about an arrest warrant if he did not pay. Today they left a message on the door to the same effect that said "WE WILL BACK." Sidenote, he IS my son's father. BUT, in the first place, legally he is nothing to my son, my son doesn't have a legal father on his birth certificate. I am the legal guaridian. BUT, the part that makes us angry, is that WE DID provide the court with the information the school was willing to provide us and feel bullied by the court system. If my husband is a criminal worth arresting, I don't see why cutting a check to the court should change that. Also, the court hearing was about truancy, not my son's grades.

Sounds like the court accepted a guilty plea and assessed a fine which they are trying to collect.
