Legal Question in DUI Law in Arizona

Are DUI records in Arizona ''expungeable?''

I pled guilty to a (first offense) DUI last year in Arizona. I'm sure this has hindered me in my job search for a secretarial position, which doesn't involve driving. I have an otherwise clean record. Can I have this expunged, or is there anything else I can do to increase my chances to find a job with a criminal record?

Re: Are DUI records in Arizona ''expungeable?''

There is no such thing as "expungement" because of the number of police & MVD agencies that retain records of these matters. BUT, we can file a Motion to Set Aside the conviction. If the Court grants this Motion, you will then have a judicial order that you can show to prospective employers who raise the issue.

Question: If you are looking for secretarial jobs, that do not involve driving company vehicles, how are tey finding out about the AZ conviction? Are you telling them?
