Legal Question in DUI Law in Arizona

I am in the middle of a DUI case where the prosecution is offering a deal that I do not feel is fair due to the breathe test being given over two hours after the stop. I feel like I have no choice but to go to trial, however I hired a private attorney and cannot afford to pay any more money to take it to trial. Am I able to switch from a private attorney to a public defender?

Yes, provided you qualify for a public defender. Contact the public defender's office and request a form. There may be other requirements and timing issues - you should do it sooner rather than later. The public defender's office should help you with it. You can also ask the court to assign a public defender to you. Call the court clerk for more information.
