Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Me and my ex boyfriend are going through a custody/child support case in Arizona. So far nothing has been determined except paternity, so I still have full custody. My fiance just got stationed in Florida and I'm planning on moving there in a week but I need to know if I'm allowed with out being sanctioned?

You must give your ex boyfriend notice of your intention to relocate with your child. If he has an objection, he can file it with the court and the court will make the determination of whether you can relocate with the child now.

The steps leading up to your relocation must be very carefully considered. I do not agree that you are REQUIRED by law to give him notice, but such may be a very good idea. YOU SHOULD DISCUSS ALL SCENARIOS with an experienced Family Law attorney.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options for relocation. This is obviously a very important matter, and you should not go in alone.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Gina or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.
