Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Divorce garnishment of wages

My son is recently divorced. He was married in Utah, where is wife filed uncontested divorce. He has been a Arizona resident for a year now. His wife, without notification, has garnished his wages for expenses incurried for the weddding/honeymoon.

My question is: Does a Utah court have the authority to garnish his wages earned in Arizona? He resides and works solely in Arizona.

Re: Divorce garnishment of wages

I am not sure exactly what you are asking, but if there is a judgement against your son she may be able to garnish his wages, depending on what kind of jugment (ie. child suppport payment?)Good luck
