Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Emancipation of Minor

My 17-year old daughter moved in with her boyfriend. She is a senior in high school and will be 18 in September 2002. Is there a legal method of releasing her from parental supervision/care so she is held completely responsible for her own actions? She moved out against my wishes (I did not give her permission to move) but I also don't want to cause trouble for her or myself.

Re: Emancipation of Minor

I have an Agreement that the two of you could sign, and which could be, but does not need to be, incorporated into a Court Order. Basically, the Agreement puts the world on notice that she has "emancipated", and thus can act as an adult for signatures, contracts, liabilities, etc.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Cathy to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.
