Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

My ex-wife was paying child support until last May, when my son graduated from high school. He was 18 at the time of graduation. She jsut filed to end the support in January and I was served on February 5th, 2010. Does she owe support for the 9 months from May 2009 and Fegruary 2010?

Child support ends upon emancipation. Generally, emancipation is when the child turns 18 or graduates from high school, which ever is later. If your son already graduated but is still 18, she may still owe support.

Probably not, unless she was behind in her obligation for the period preceding graduation. Child support ends on the 18th birthday or graduation, whichever is later.
