Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Living Trust

My 89 year old mother-in-law resides in Tucson, Arizona. My wife and I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. My mother-in-law recently had a Living Trust with an Executor named (her grandson). She would like to find another attorney and change Executor to her daughter (my wife) and give her Power of Attorney as well. Can that be done by hiring at attorney in California to deal with the paperwork, or can the paperwork be signed by her daughter by means of faxing documents or does my wife hace to travel to Tucson and have an Arizona attorney deal with this? Also, does my mother-in-law's ptrevious attorney need be informed as to what his former client wants to do?

Re: Living Trust

It appears that she is a resident of Arizona. This being the case Arizona law would apply to the trust. The general rule is that a client can dismiss their attorney at any time for any reason. Resubmit your question to an attorney in Arizona.
