Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Parental Rights

My husband was found paternity of a child. He signed away his parental rights, he was told that the mother could get three years of past support declared due. The child is now adopted by the mother's husband and she is wanting that three years of past support. Does my husband owe that past support now that the child is adopted??

Re: Parental Rights

Without knowing more of the facts, I would answer "yes". However, there are certain circumstances where the Mother's actions might prevent her from being able to collect on any sums owed.

Please contact my assisatnt, Cathy, if you would like to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation to discuss this further.
