Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

What can I do so my parents can see my son.

My ex-wife refuses to acknowlage the court order for my visitation rights and is now refuseing my sons grandparents visitation to. She says the only way she will let them see him is if I sign over my parental rights. What can I do?

I would suggest that it would be very unwise to terminate your rights under these circumstances. If you do so, your Mother then has no legal right to enforce her own access rights, which Arizona allows.

You should also take appropriate steps to enforce your own access rights. Mother cannot simply unilaterally deny such. Doing so can actually become a criminal act.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Audrey to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation. I look forward to talking with you.

Get an attorney in California; go for a contempt order for refusing yuor visitation rights and negotiate a stipulation to allow your parents. Call me directly at (619) 222-3504.

your immediate remedy is to file a Petition for Order to Show Cause regarding contempt of court. You should do it immediately to impress upon her the seriousness of her actions. You could also move to modify custody as part of the action in that mother's actions are alienating the relationship between the children and their father. If you live in CA and she lives in AZ, you would have to do it here.
