my question is: if you new a couple for quite some time and one day they decide to get a divorce and they both want you to represent them, what would you do?

First of all, are you an attorney? Secondly, did you miss Professional Responsibility class? You cannot represent opposing parties in a matter. This is not a waivable conflict as they likely have some differences of opinion as to dissolution terms.
