Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

Unmarried -Child Custody - Relocating out of state

In the case where there is no marriage, child was born in California, both parents on birth certificate, child lives with mother who has provided all financial support. Mother wishes to relocate to another state to be closer to her family. Neither parent has been awarded custody in a court of law. Can the father stop her from moving?

This is my daughter and my grandson that I am asking about. The father has not been able to hold a job for any length of time. She fears he will try to stop her from relocating.

Unless there is a court order you should feel free to go about how you please. However, this may force father to file something with the court than you might have a custody battle. But as long as the child has lived with the mother her whole life and mother is a good mother (no drug abuse or other problems like that) she should be ok.
