Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

unmarried with children

I have a 4 month old, I haven't been living with the father until recently. I want to leave he is telling me I can't leave the state with our son, which is what I plan on doing to live with my mother. Can he get me for kidnapping ? If not what if any are his rights? He says he will fight me ONLY because he doesn't want me to go after him for child support. Help! Please what can I do?

Re: unmarried with children

You can leave the state without his permission, but there are a lot of advantages and disadvantages in doing so. Thus, it is an important decision, and how it is handled is something you certainly should consult with an attorney about.

We can absolutely help.

I can explain the procedures better by phone or in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via e'mail. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss the matter in more detail.

Please call me directly to discuss the specifics of your case, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule a free 1/2 hour consultation.
