Legal Question in Family Law in Arizona

I have visitation right issued from the court from 9am to 7pm and it states that the other parent may be present if I have no objection. Does that mean if I don't want her to be present she does not have to be?

YES, that's how I would interept that. BUT, I would rather see the entire order to give better advice.

We can certainly help you consider and then pursue your options if this is an issue.

One of our attorneys can explain the issues and procedures better in person. As you can imagine, there is too much to cover via email. We offer free 1/2 hour consultations, in which we can discuss your matter in detail.

Please call us directly to discuss the specifics of your matter, or contact my assistant Alicia or my paralegal Jennifer to schedule your free 1/2 hour consultation.

The way the provision is drafted, I do believe you would have the right to decline.

Although, I would like to discuss with you the reason the court included the provision (or perhaps the parties agreed to it.). Please call my office if you have any questions or if we can review the case to clarify for you. We offer free consultations regarding these matters.

You can come in person or call in, whichever works better for you.

That's kind of an odd provision that I don't normally see, but from a plain reading of it, it would appear that you have the right to object to or decline their presence during your parentnig time.

Best of luck!
