Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

I just got served a summons for a lawsuit from a creditor. It states that I must file an answer or proper response in writing with the clerk of the court. The process server who gave me the papers told me to contact the plaintiff's lawyers within 20 days to discuss. What do I do?

File an Answer or face a default judgment against you with execution against wages, accounts, property, etc. Hire an attorney, if can.
