Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Arizona

I signed a year lease last year my lease is up. we made a verbal agreement on a thousand dollar diposit what are the odds that I will get my money back. and do i have any legal standing at all like witnesses or what do i need to get my money back. Thank you Nate

Anything having to do with real estate is supposed to be in writing if it involves a term of a year or more. That being said, I think a judge would show mercy on you given that tenants are presumed to be less sophisticated and more likely to be taken advantage of than landlords. I think you have a very good case for getting your deposit back so long as you didn't cause any damages or require cleanings that need to come out of that amount. Good luck!
