Legal Question in Immigration Law in Arizona

Deception of marriage for citizenship

I married a Vietnamese man in 2005. We have a 2 year old child together. My husband requested removal of conditional basis of permanent resident status in 2/2009, and was granted it on 2/20/09. On 5/3/09 he moved out and is now planning to move to DC. I believe he married me for citizenship an would like to know if there is anything I can do to reverse this. Thank you much.

Re: Deception of marriage for citizenship

Dear Inquirer:

You could complain to the USCIS/ICE about fraud, but unless there is solid evidence of fraudulent intent in entering the marriage on your husband's part, the Government most likely will not take any action.

I recommend that you visit www.hanlonlawgroup.com or email [email protected] if you would like to schedule an appointment for a confidential consultation to discuss this matter further.

Unfortunately, at this time, there is nothing you can do to take away your husband's permanent resident status, if the marriage was real and in good faith at its inception and the conditions on his residency were removed already.
