Legal Question in Employment Law in Arizona

Employee file

I was recently asked to resign. Never expecting this to happen I left without taking copies of my evaluations. Do I have a right to ask my employer for a copy of my past evaluations or personnel file?

Re: Employee file

You have the right to request the file. Unless, however, your former employer is a government entity, there is no law that would require them to provide it. In my experience, most employers will refuse to provide a copy of an employee' personnel file, but it does not hurt to ask.
